1 – Asphalt 8
Airborne – YES, it is a paid game (go figure), but it has over 2 million 5-star ratings from Android users and well over 100,000 reviews! The graphics are stunning, and so are many of the cars you can drive. There is also a ton of stuff to buy; upgrades, new cars, etc. It’s easy to get lost in Asphalt 8: Airborne if you don’t have anything else to do!
2 – Need For Speed No Limits
Racing games used to be all about realistic graphics and handling. These days, it’s all about mobile games that look and feel just like a console version without any of that extra bulk. Need For Speed No Limits is one of those games – featuring amazing graphics, cars that can handle just like they would in real life, plus some really cool-looking (and useful) upgrades. The cars handle so well in NFS No Limits because they were actually recorded using motion capture – something you don’t see often in mobile racing games. It also helps that there are tons of upgrades to find during your races as well as a variety of different modes to play through once you unlock them.
3 – Asphalt Xtreme
Rally Racing Game – If you’re looking for an arcade-style rally racing game, Asphalt Xtreme is a great pick. It features eight different types of races (including drag races and tournaments), a roster of more than 25 vehicles, realistic physics, customizable controls, and more. The game also lets you race other players from around the world—and it even tracks your progress. What’s nice about Asphalt Xtreme is that it isn’t just a simple race through city streets; there are plenty of jumps to pull off tricks in midair, over-the-top explosions to avoid, and loads of powerups that can be used against your opponents (or your friends).
4 – CSR Racing 2
It’s been almost two years since CSR Racing was first released, and while we might not have an update on a third installment, there’s still CSR2 to enjoy. If you were a fan of CSR1 (and let’s be honest – how could you not be?), then CSR2 is certainly worth checking out. The game offers over 20 cars and 60 events, including unique races that are unlocked by leveling up your car. Plus, since it’s just more of what made CSR1 great, that means you can expect better visuals, improved gameplay mechanics, and new ways to compete against other players! It doesn’t hurt that it’s free either!
5 – Hill Climb Racing 2
Hill Climb Racing 2 is arguably one of the best car racing games available in 2017. It features simple controls, amazing graphics, and addictive gameplay that keeps you coming back for more. This game is one of those rare titles that you can play over and over again without getting bored. Whether you're a casual gamer or a hardcore player, there's something to like about Hill Climb Racing 2. The graphics are very detailed and really help you lose yourself in your surroundings. The music plays at just the right times to set your mood, as well as give you an adrenaline rush during races. And it has no unnecessary ads or in-app purchases – just pure fun! Do yourself a favor and check out Hill Climb Racing 2 if you haven't already!
6 – Real Racing 3
In Real Racing 3, you’ll unlock new cars and tracks as you progress. This game offers a ton of variety when it comes to racing, with different modes and car customization available. It can be a bit of a time-suck, but it’s worth it. It’s fun to race against real people too! One thing I really love about Real Racing 3 is that it supports Apple TV. So if you want to play on your TV, you can do so using AirPlay!
7 – Motorsport Manager Mobile 3
Puts you in charge of a racing team, including engineers, drivers, and pit crew. Featuring a huge variety of circuits and cars to unlock, it’s an experience that’s both rewarding and thrilling. It comes with all the most important options: tire selection, suspension setup, gearbox selection, adjusting fuel usage, and more. All your decisions have an impact on your car performance as you try to overtake opponents during races. The sheer number of things you can do makes it one of my personal favorites on Android!
8 – Project Cars GO!
For anyone who has played Project Cars, you know how fun and crazy it can get. Sadly, that doesn’t translate to mobile very well but thankfully we have Project Cars GO! This version of Project Cars is a free-to-play app that offers up a ton of different cars and tracks to play on. You can also customize your vehicles with parts you earn while playing or just buy them outright. Graphics aren’t going to blow you away but if you love racing games and are looking for something new then give it a try. (Android Only)
9 – Gear.Club Unlimited
Gear. Club Unlimited is a racing game developed by Eden Games. It is set in an open-world environment where players can drive over mountains, through oceans, and along plains while engaging in races against real players across the globe. The game comes with plenty of licensed cars including Aston Martin and BMW, as well as in-game currency that can be used to purchase new vehicles or modifications.
